Day 1: Beijing to Liujiayu, hike to Baiyu Village
Meet local guide and start the tour.
Drive about 2.5 hours out of downtown of Beijing southwest to Mentougou District. The road becomes zigzagging when get into the mountain of Mentougou.
Have lunch in a local restaurant near Zhaitang before drive to Liujiayu.From the trail head, start the hiking.
After the first half an hour, get through the most difficult part and up to a mountain range.
Then, hike along the valley up to Huangcaoliang Direction. Totally about 3 hours later, get to the main trail leading to Baiyu village. Where start to walk downhill to the parking lot then drive a couple of kilometers down to Cuandixia village.
Cuandixia is an old village built in late Ming and early Qing dynasty. All the houses are built with rock. Tonight, going to stay in the home there.

The dinner is countryside dinner, with local food.

Day 2:Cuandixia village to Huangcaoliang and back
After breakfast, drive 3 more kilometers up to Baiyu Village, which is located at the foot of Huangcaoliang. From Baiyu, start our hiking uphill on the mountain trail, firstly with steps but gradually, only on the dirt trail, through the trees. About 2 hours later,get up to Shiliping. On Shiliping, see the mountains extending away layer by layer, even could see Lingshan.
From Shiliping, the trail will be much easier to go. For sure, going to climb up to the top of Huangcaoliang.The mountains of different layers extend to the skyline.
Have a picnic lunch when get up to Huangcaoliang.
About 2pm, start to hike downhill back to Cuandixia village.
Around 4pm, drive about 2 hours back the city of Beijing.
